There's a tiny puncture in the seal
1
Customers question:
Why is there a tiny puncture in the seal?

This small hole is a deliberate part of the seal and ensures that the jars dont dent or swell due to pressure differences between the place of production and the location where the product is shipped.
The sidewalls of the jars are relatively thin, making them very sensitive to pressure changes. Without this ventilation hole, air can get trapped inside the jar, causing it to dent or swell. This doesnt look very appealing ;-)
This ventilation is completely safe and a standard solution in the industry. The powder remains dry as long as the lid is closed.
