Whey Temptation - Great taste and great value!
Whey Temptation is unprecedented. That's because of the combination of its very low price and the very delicious flavors. The new flavors in combination with the gentle flavor of the whey make it seem like you're drinking liquid bananas or raspberries.
The low price is achieved without compromising on the quality of production. This whey comes from the same Western European producer (Volactive) who also produces our Pure Whey Protein Isolate.
Whey Temptation fits in an athlete's diet, but can also be used in a low-carb protein diet.
The combination of the low price, delicious tastes, Western European quality and convenient stand-up bag with closure strip, is what makes Whey Temptation in our opinion the 'best buy' among protein supplements!
How does Whey Temptation compare to Pure Whey Protein Isolate?
Type of protein
The protein in Whey Temptation is a cold filtered whey protein. This is the same type of protein as used in Pure Whey Protein Isolate. Also the Western European producer (Volactive) and origin of the milk from which the whey is extracted is identical.
Protein content
The difference between Whey Temptation and the more expensive Pure Whey Protein Isolate is in the extent to which the protein is filtered. There is one less step required in the protein filtration process of Whey Temptation. That's the reason why Whey Temptation has a lower protein content (79% versus 90%) and slightly higher levels of lactose and fat than Pure Whey Protein Isolate.
Lactose and milk fat content
The amount of milk sugar (lactose) in a scoop of Whey Temptation is about 1.5 gram. This is 1 gram more than Pure Whey Protein Isolate. A Whey Temptation protein shake is however still very suitable for a low-carb protein diet. Even if you're only allowed 20 grams of carbs per day than 1.5 gram of lactose for a meal substituting protein shake is easily manageable.
The amount of milk fat of slightly more than 2 grams per shake is also no obstacle in a protein diet.
Flavor
An advantage of Whey Temptation versus Pure Whey Protein Isolate is that the taste has a little bit more body, and it is creamier due to the slightly higher milk fat content and lactose. Whey Temptation also has several new, very delicious tasting flavors.
Biological value
Athletes might find it interesting to know that Whey Temptation has about the same biological value as Pure Whey Protein Isolate. The proportions of essential, non-essential and branched chain amino acids (BCAA) are pretty much the same.
Furthermore Whey Temptation is absorbed by the body almost as fast as Pure Whey Protein Isolate. For recovery after exercise the two proteins therefore both are very suitable. Of course a little more Whey Temptation powder is needed to get to the same amount of protein.
Price
Since the final filtration step of the whey powder is no longer needed, the base price of Whey Temptation is lower. The packaging of the protein in pouches (stand-up bags) also has a cost lowering effect.
Pocket-sized packaging
Due to the use of stand-up bags, it is also possible to offer a cost-effective smaller packaging size of 750 grams. This way you can taste more of those delicious Whey Temptation flavors. The narrow flexible packaging with convenient closure strip also makes it easier to store two flavors at the same time in your kitchen pantry.
