Caffeine, the most commonly used pre-workout supplement
Coffee and caffeine are the most commonly used substance before training. Until 2004, caffeine was included in the doping list of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). However, as caffeine is used so commonly in a social context, it was decided to remove this deliciously stimulating substance from the doping list. The use of caffeine and coffee among athletes has since increased significantly.
Use caffeine carefully. Caffeine may make sensitive people may feel anxious. Ensure you get some physical and mental rest after exercise! Also take into account recommendations on sleeping. For this, see the adverse effects paragraph.
Coffee drinker versus caffeine-naive
Are you a coffee drinker? If yes, a dose of 2 capsules is probably the best pre-workout dose for you. However, always try 1 capsule first. Are you coffee/caffeine-naive? If yes, one capsule of caffeine will probably be sufficient for you.

Fat-burning
Studies have established that caffeine is great in combination with our safe fat burner Natural Fat Control on the basis of green tea extract. To support Natural Fat Control, take 1 capsule of caffeine with breakfast or 2 capsules of caffeine spread over breakfast and lunch.
Highest quality caffeine
It took some time to find the caffeine that meets our requirements. We eventually succeeded when we found the Green Caffeine brand. The main quality aspects of this caffeine are:
- Coffee grown without chemical pesticides
- Caffeine free from solvents thanks to a natural extraction process
- Further purification and quality assurance by a specialised (European) pharmaceutical company.
Just as with our amino acids, this highest quality standard comes hand in hand with a raw material that is 3 times more expensive than the caffeine available via normal channels. This does not mean the consumer price is very high. You only pay a few euros more than with companies who only focus on the lowest prices. A 150 mg capsule of caffeine, free from solvents, costs just 8 cents. We feel this is a good investment for amazingly intense training.
Contraindications and warnings
High caffeine content. Not suitable for children. Do not use when pregnant or breastfeeding, in case of high blood pressure or heart complaints.
Do not exceed maximum dose of 2 capsules a day.
A food supplement is not substitute for a varied diet. Caffeine is not a substitute for sleep.
Adverse effects
In case of high doses or in combination with caffeine-rich foods or in the event of ingestion late in the day, this supplement may cause one or more of the following adverse effects: nervousness, sleeplessness, increased heartrate.
If caffeine is used shortly before bedtime, it may result in disturbed sleep. Falling asleep may take longer. Sleep efficiency is also reduced; deep sleep and dream sleep are shorter. For this reason, please do not take caffeine at least 6 hours before bedtime.
When training in the evening, it is advisable to take the caffeine around 5 oclock in the afternoon. The caffeine will still be active after several hours.
